Sorry about that, here's a brief overview of where we're at:
Um... Basically... we're finished.
Yup.
It was lots of fun and we all learnt something about ourselves. I learnt that I tend to get stressy at people while using AfterEffects. Sorry about that.
Films'll be posted up soon.

Today In lugged my desktop computer and it's monitor up to the studio to work, me, Katie and Jamie are the only ones left; our spirits worn down to tiny rape-shaped stumps, our sanity teetering on the precipice of obvious, seething madness. All in all, doing pretty well.
Anyway, mainly writing to record that the story of the film has undergone a drastic and much-needed overhaul from the ground up thanks to Sean's friend-from-games; Les. I will write of these changes later but, for now, here's a frame I had to scrap:

Later, dudelingtons!

Been talking with Faye
I ground my back

A background for Fayes film, I drew another one but then I accidently overwrote it with this one.
Backgrounds are not my forte and take me a long time.
I think I will kill Faye first.

A teeny tiny bit of rough animation

Not too happy with the cheaty turn she does, if deadlines weren't so tight I might want to re-do that. I think eveyything else is turning out okay.
This was mainly to figure out timing; I'll have to tighten it up quite a lot before I can pass it on to Faye for clean-up, there's facial expressions and 'wobbly bits' I didn't draw here.

Version three of Animatic
Completely re-did it from scratch, I think it's finally clear what's going on now. I even had enough leeway to add in some hallucinogenic Fleischer Brothers stuff; I got a little inspired re-watching this last night.

The Sheets Have Hit The Fan
Done with the model sheets
I think I went overboard with the character stuff and underboard (Yeah... that's not a word is it?) with the turnarounds but at least whoever ends up animating this won't accidently draw the characters as animals or trees or something.
Hmmn, the University's probably going to be closed tomorrow, I could have put this off longer...

Revised Version
Got a tutorial on sound design today, kept in the bit with the restraint fastening just because it'll be nice to hear.
Anyway; here's the version of the animatic without the beginning scene and a few minor modifications (the piece of paper that featured in the cut intro scene makes a cameo appearance and I squeezed in another reaction shot from the customer)
Apart from the lollipop sequence; it's not much slower (the old version was actually two seconds over the time limit, this one is 10 exactly) but I think that's okay because there's less information in it.
Next update: Character and Prop Turnarounds (I hope)

Character designs and first pass at animatic
The animatic can be viewed here.
I will tell you right now; those first five seconds are gone, everything after those five seconds will now take ten seconds.
Also, that needly tatoo thing will be giant in the next version. Why didn't I draw it giant in this version? OF COURSE IT NEEDS TO BE GIANT!!
Here are some character sketches with useful notes (Click to see both characters):

I don't care if characters completely change proportions from shot to shot BUT SO HELP ME GOD if you forget their muffin tops.
